Please, when making starscapes, don't feel confined by my settings. I'm just telling you how *I* do it. And even I vary on this a bit. It's just a guideline, and you're meant to expand on it, and experiment with it.

And if you use this, please +fav this tutorial, as it will help others to find it and use it and learn from it.

I have personally read most of the other starscape tutes out there, and adjusted them and used them and made them my own and then proceeded to do it differently. Nothing stopping you, too, from doing this. And remember, this is the BASIC starfield, before adding anything else to it, like more prominent stars, or other cosmic presences.

Dude, you've saved my skin! THis tutorial is excellent even though I didn't have the whole Ctr-L thing... what was that anyway?

I'm not sure what's going on, but I think my PS is sabotaging me. Whenever I change the Brightness/Contrast, it changes it back, or at least does the very minimal amount.

I feel like a failure after doing this tutorial for an hour and still not getting the advertised results.

The tutorial was done using CS/CS2. If you're using a later version of CS, you will need to select the 'use legacy' option in Brightness/Contrast.

Wonderful tutorial! It's a great reference for fast and random starfields without any pen-tapping. Thank you very much! :)
